Wire-to-wire connection using SFxx-3,81-P and SHxx-3,81 terminal blocks
Terminal blocks are typically used when you need to connect multiple wires to a PCB. However, when you need to interconnect wires with other wires, it’s not as common.
Euroclamp offers an inverse terminal block as a standard part of its product range, but it is a PCB version. Therefore, they have introduced a new version of the terminal block specifically for cables. With this, you can easily and quickly create a wire-to-wire connection.
A standard pair consists of the plug-in connector SHxx-3,81 on the cable and the plug-in terminal block PVxx-3,81-P on the PCB. For testing, control, maintenance, or other purposes, it is possible to interconnect the SHxx-3.81 terminal block with another module or another device using the SFxx-3,81-P terminal block with wires.
“However, this terminal block is also suitable for more prosaic scenarios, and that is an ‘extension’ cable. Like all other Euroclamp terminal blocks, the manufacturer can produce it in various colors and, if needed, mark the positions. This can involve simple numbering, letters, or symbols according to your needs,” says Pavol Buhla, Manager of Product Specialists at SOS electronic.
