STMicroelectronics (ST) announced their latest portfolio of short-range wireless microcontrollers (MCUs): the STM32WBA55 and STM32WBA54. The new suite offers a one-chip solution that’s extremely compact, reduces the bill of materials, and shortens time to market by relieving wireless design challenges.
Key details include:
- Integration of the latest generation ARM Cortec-M33 core with enhanced performance and ARM TrustZone architecture, isolating secure processes and storage.
- The new MCUs are based on ST’s 40nm process technology, offering lower power consumption and faster execution time.
- Support of multiple wireless standards concurrently, including Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread, and Matter.
- First in the market to achieve SESIP (Security Evaluation Standard for IoT Platforms) Level 3 security certification.
