SCHURTER Adds Breaking Capacity Rating for Chip Fuse Series

SCHURTER’s slow-blow UST 1206 series chip fuse with exceptional rated current values up to 25 A has added yet another breaking capacity rating to its specification. The range of ratings help guide in fuse selection with prevailing short circuit conditions.

The UST 1206 series is known for its high melting I²t values, which exhibit impressive inrush withstand performance. Breaking capacity ratings span over the current range of 7 to 25 A at 63 VDC/32 VAC and include: 100 A at 63 VDC to a new rating of 750 A at 32 VDC, and 150 A @ 24 VAC. Additional internal DC ratings are 400 A at 12 VDC and 600 A @ 9 VDC. Rated operating temperature is – 55°C to +90°C.

The UST 1206 fuse series is a cost-effective solution for applications where high inrush current and/or on and off cycling are present. Ideal for secondary overcurrent protection in power inverters, LCD back lighted DC-AC inverters for monitors, and like applications with high power consumption at low voltage levels, e.g., 5 or 12 VDC.

The fuse is built to UL 248-14 and cURus approved. Legend markings on each fuse provide a clear visual identification of rated current. Supplied on tape and reel up to 15K pieces. Link to Datasheet. Link to Landing Page.
