The MIL-DTL-38999 connector is often selected for its reliable performance in extreme conditions. With a huge range of contact configurations possible as well as different shell styles it has become the go-to choice in many military, aerospace and harsh industrial applications. In situations where current handling above 23 Amps is required, however, the standard contacts are not suitable.
To meet the growing demand for high current handling and reliability in high shock and vibration environments NYKCS has launched the ZEUS range of Power Connectors. Using IEH Hyperboloid contact technology and the MIL-DTL-38999 Series III architecture the new range of connectors provides the same form, fit and function as d38999 as well as high current handling and tolerance to high vibration with no loss of continuity. To extend the performance of ZEUS power connectors further still they are also available with filtered power contacts.
To meet the needs of applications where the standard range of ZEUS power connectors is not sufficient, non-standard inserts can be designed to suit the customers specification with current handling up to 260 Amps DC possible.
This range of connectors has been developed to fill the gap where a standard catalogue item will not meet the power and vibration requirements of some applications.
