Monica Highfill and David Loftus Discuss WE’s Mentoring Program on Latest ECIA Podcast

ECIA CEO David Loftus hosts Women in Electronics’ (WE) Co-founder Monica Highfill on The Channel Channel podcast. The two cover in detail what mentoring is all about, and specifically WE’s mentoring program, which Highfill spearheaded. Highfill is Vice President of Sales, Americas at KEMET. Her career includes stints on both the distributor and manufacturer side of the table. In this conversation she describes important mentoring experiences from her own life, as well as how WE’s mentoring program came to be.

“We can all go anywhere in our thinking. Sometimes the first place we go is to talk ourselves out of doing something, when we should actually be talking ourselves into taking on new challenges. Really, often the purpose of a mentor is simply to say, you can do this, I’ve got your back.”
