The LTE Cat 1 EG21-G, the smallest member of this family, can transmit data at a maximum rate of 10 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up. Since the EG21-G Mini PCIe is backwards-compatible with current EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks, connectivity is guaranteed even in distant locations without access to 4G or 3G networks.
The Qualcomm® IZatTM location technology Gen8C Lite (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou/Compass, Galileo, and QZSS) is supported by the EG21-G Mini PCIe. The integrated GNSS makes positioning faster, more accurate, and more dependable while substantially simplifying product design. When it comes to data rate and link dependability, MIMO technology satisfies the requirements of modern wireless communication systems.
LTE category 4 module Quectel EG25-G mini PCIe has the same specifications as EG21-G with the exception of Cat 4 data rates of up to 150Mbps DL/50Mbps UL. If you require even greater data rates, go with the Quectel EP06 LTE-A (A-Advanced) category 6 module designed specifically for M2M and IoT applications. It provides maximum data rates up to 300Mbps DL/50Mbps using 3GPP Rel. 11 LTE technology.
The EP06 module, which was created in the Mini PCIe form factor, has two variations (EP06-E and EP06-A) for various target markets, and these variations cover almost all of the major carriers globally.
The module can be used for a variety of M2M applications thanks to a comprehensive set of Internet protocols, industry-standard interfaces, and a wealth of features (USB serial drivers for Windows 7/8/8.1/10, Linux, Android/eCall*):
