ECIA is pleased to announce the publication of the Top 50 North America Authorized Distributors report, published by Electronics Sourcing magazine. For the first time, ECIA has partnered with Electronics Sourcing with ECIA Chief Analyst Dale Ford conducting all the research for this important industry resource.
“This research is different from all prior top 50 distributor lists in that it intentionally only includes Authorized distributors,” commented Ford. “This is of central importance to ECIA’s mission to support the authorized electronic component supply chain.”
The research includes revenue breakdowns per component type, geographic region, end market, customer type and much more. Included in the analysis are breakouts for Arrow and Avnet and other ranking categories; expected sales growth drivers, and much more.
According to the research, while North America revenues for the Top 50 distributors declined for every component category in 2020, the best sales performance came from passive components which saw revenues decline by only -2.4% followed closely by interconnect components with a decline of -2.9%. The largest component category, semiconductors, experienced a -7.9% decrease in revenues and saw its share of the total North America market slip from 53.9% to 52.8%.
