ECIA and The Trust Bridge Webinar on Risks of Returning to Work Now Available

ECIA Service Partner The Trust Bridge (TTB) conducted a webinar on the risks of working from home, and the challenges in returning to the office. The webinar recording is now available.

Hosted by TTB’s COO, Penny Heyes, the webinar assembled a panel of experts to explore a wide range of issues employers are facing as they respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Panel of Experts included:

  • David Clarke, Chief Technology Officer of The Trust Bridge
  • Andrew Parsons and Taylor Ey of Womble, Bond, Dickinson – a law firm with specialties in data privacy and intellectual property
  • Dominic Mason, Digital Transformation Consultant
  • Rohit Kapoor, Vice President, Tekmonks, a premier software services and IT consulting company

This thoughtful and in-depth discussion included data security and risk management issues related to working from home, such as employer rights for monitoring and controlling work environments when workers are remote; the challenges of joiners, movers, and leavers when IT support can’t physically access the hardware; what to do about freelancers and contractors; ways to monitor employees without collecting their data and much more.

“The Trust Bridge continues to develop training and content that comprehensively addresses issues companies are facing with the COVID-19 pandemic,” observed Debbie Conyers, ECIA Vice President of Member Engagement. “Teleworking is not going away. This crisis will likely continue to create safety issues for the near future, and employees want the flexibility of working remotely. ECIA members will find a wealth of practical information in these webinars.”
