The ebm-papst Group is the world’s leading manufacturer of fans and motors. Since it was founded, the technology company has continuously set global industry standards: from the digital interconnection of electronically controlled EC fans to aerodynamic improvements for fan blades to the use of eco-friendly materials.
ebm-papst employs over 14,000 people at 26 production sites (e.g. in Germany, China and the US) and in 49 sales offices worldwide. Fans and motors from the world market leader are used in many industries, including ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, household appliances, heating, automotive and drive engineering.
Fans and fan accessories from ebm-papst
If the heat generated by components accumulates in a housing, efficient cooling is required. This can be achieved effortlessly with the fans from our range. The requirements and the field of application determine which fan type is best suited to the individual case. Axial fans are the most common variant. For example, they transport heat to the outside in small battery-operated devices or desktop computers. Diagonal fans achieve a higher air throughput and are suitable for more demanding industrial applications. Fans for installation in walls, ceilings and ducts promise a pleasant room climate as well as safety by ensuring constant air circulation and thus removing unwanted emissions. Additional protective grilles prevent contamination and extend the service life of the fans. Our extensive range of accessories also makes installation easier or more convenient when operating certain devices.
Fan types from ebm-papst
Axial fan
Axial fans from ebm-papst are original “space-saving marvels” and move air for cooling or heat exchange in a wide variety of systems and devices. Axial fans impress with their shallow installation depth and low noise level.
Advantages of axial fans
- Compact dimensions
- Various technical variants
- Large variety of different properties
- Optimal Noise Process
- Highly efficient with standardized integration of sensor signals and control functions
- Huge range of accessories for radial fans
Radial fan
Radial fans suck in the air parallel or axially to the drive axle. In contrast to an axial fan, however, the air is not directed to the rear, but deflected at a 90° angle and blown out radially. Radial fans generate high pressure and thus dissipate the air particularly quickly and effectively. They are used, for example, for cooling servers. Since they dissipate heat very well, they are also used on computer components such as graphics cards, which achieve high performance.
Advantages of centrifugal fans
- Steady construction
- High efficiency
- Quiet operation
- Simple commissioning
- Large range of accessories
Cross-flow blower
Cross-flow blowers are elongated fans that deliver an even, wide air flow. The fan wheel works like a roller, which sucks the air through a cross section and blows it out again over an equally wide cross section. In this model, the drive motor is usually located outside the air flow. This design allows a large air flow rate at low flow velocities and therefore results in lower noise levels. Cross-flow blowers have proven themselves in applications such as automotive air conditioning, laser technology and transformer cooling. Thanks to the quiet operating noises, they are also used in daylight projectors such as those found in offices and schools.
Advantages of cross-flow
- blowers Low noise
- level Low currents
- Very flat design
- Maximum speeds
