RoundTech luminaires

Emergency luminaires are a key element of emergency lighting systems offered by Eaton. Those carefully designed devices from the RoundTech line take over the control of lighting in case of a power failure and ensure full visibility and safety in places in which lack of illumination is unacceptable. Such luminaires work in two modes – maintained and non-maintained, which means that they can function as regular lights, but in the case of a power failure the lighting elements will source power from built-in batteries. They have a capacity of 1.5 Ah or 3 Ah (it depends on the model of the luminaire), thanks to which the luminaire can keep emitting light for one or three hours. Products from the RoundTech line are made from polycarbonate and offer the luminosity of 150 lm or 200 lm, with the power consumption of 0.3 W or 1.1 W. It’s worth mentioning here that the luminaires boast an IP rating of IP44 or IP65 and are suitable for indoor use.

In the Eaton Electric catalogue, you can also find luminaires from the SafeLite line, which are suitable for use with the well-known pictograms that are part of safety signage inside factories or public buildings. They can work in the maintained mode, and then they emit light with the luminosity of 60 lm. In case of a power failure, the luminaire goes into non-maintained mode, powered by a built-in battery with the capacity of 0.8 Ah, 1.7 Ah, or 2 Ah. In this mode, it has a luminosity of 150 lm or 200 lm, and it can operate continuously for one or three hours. These products are dedicated for indoor use, and they offer an IP rating (depending on the model) of IP42 or IP65. The power consumption of a single luminaire is 2.7 W or 3.2 W.
