The TruOpto range of addressable surface mounted RGBW and RGB LEDs include 1m strips, with up to 300 individual LEDs on any one strip. The 1m strips can be linked up to a 5m run, and because when fully powered they draw a considerable current it is recommended that a 1000µF, 6.3V or higher rated capacitor be placed across the + and – terminals. Also a 300 to 500Ω resistor can be placed between the data output pin and the input to the strip.
