Advantech showcases AI and IIoT solutions for logistics at LogiMAT 2024

Experts from Advantech will be presenting their latest products and solutions for logistics at LogiMAT 2024 (Stuttgart Trade Fair Center, 19-21 March 2024), highlighting how the company’s smart Industrial IoT solutions deliver speed, safety and automation, as well as a range of products built to take maximum advantage of artificial intelligence (AI).

Based on the European Machine Vision Association booth (Hall 2 Booth 2C18), Advantech IIoT will be welcoming customers old and new as well as partners and associates from the logistics industry. With a strong message of delivering efficiency, optimization and stability through the use of AI, specialists from the company will be explaining how the sector can benefit from its extensive range of products.

For example, a sharp focus will be placed on Advantech IIoT’s AI Jetson platforms, which are compact industrial-grade solutions aimed at edge AI applications with high levels of GPU performance due to being powered by NVIDIA® Jetson™ embedded computer boards. Thanks to Advantech’s 30 years of expertise in IPC design, these solutions represent the market’s best AI platform at the edge, with the Advantech MIC-Jetson series offering superior performance per Watt for full embedded NVIDIA Jetson devices. Now AI application developers are armed with powerful tools to create custom-designed AI solutions for logistics as well as automation and manufacturing applications.

Machine vision is increasingly becoming the norm in the logistics sector and visitors to the stand will be able to see Advantech IIoT’s range of game-changing machine vision solutions. The company’s modular IPCs, for example, are ideal for vision inspection, automated optical inspection (AOI), packaging inspection, process automation and intelligent monitoring.

Visitors will also be able to get close to Advantech IIoT’s Edge AI Inference Computers embedded with NVIDIA Jetson. These devices are ideal for video analytics in such sectors as logistics, transportation, manufacturing and safety and security. Also on the EMVA stand will be examples from Advantech IIoT’s range of AI cameras that incorporate NVIDIA Jetsonmodules. Again, taking advantage of embedded high computing power, AI programs can be used to handle images and videos inside the camera for such demanding applications as AI inspection.

Finally, Advantech IIoT will be showcasing BitFlow’s 6th generation camera link frame grabbers for machine vision, which feature enhanced interfaces as well as power over camera link (PoCL), new connectors and new tap formats. These frame grabbers continue to provide one of the simplest, most efficient and least expensive ways to get camera data into a computer. Last but not least Advantech can offer USB/LAN frame grabbers able to satisfy the different topologies needed in AOI. Rick de Vries – IIoT Sales Director Central Europe says, “We are looking forward to making many new contacts from the logistics industry at LogiMAT 2024, as well as seeing existing customers. Our smart Industrial IoT solutions and AI-based products offer many tailor-made benefits to logistics companies and we are looking forward to sharing our expertise with specialists from the sector.”
