With the so far Sub-6GHz frequency bands, this is only possible to a limited extent. Therefore there will be new frequency bands under 5G in the ultra-high frequency range of 30-300GHz, the so-called mmWave frequency bands.
Telit’s new 5G FN980m M.2 card is based on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon ™ X55 5G modem and offers support for the sub-6GHz as well as the new mmWave FDD and TDD frequency bands, including fallback to 3G and 4G/LTE. The M.2 card also offers an integrated GNSS receiver and support for 5G SA (standalone) and 5G NSA (non-standalone).
