CamdenBoss’ 55 series dura box is an aluminium extruded case with high grade ABS plastic end caps. This versatile enclosure is purpose built for industrial and commercial applications. Manufactured using T5 aluminium with an epoxy painted finish, a superior and protective end result is gained. The aluminium housing is IP54 rated as standard but features a gasket channel in either end of the plastic end cap; enabling you to purchase a gasket to create a seal that is designed to meet IP65.
Handheld electronics earn their place in busy industrial settings, operating as useful testing equipment, plug in diagnostic devices or environmental monitoring sensors. Handheld equipment can be prone to increased wear and tear as they are usually transported around more often, used frequently on site and become more susceptible to drops and impact. It is therefore essential for handheld enclosures to provide an adequate amount of protection to the housed electronics which are dependent on the environment they will be used in.
The benefit of an extruded aluminium electronics enclosure is that PCB slots can be extruded into the case; therefore, providing a quick assembly method, where screws will not always be required.
The 55 series enclosure, is extruded in four set lengths, 130mm, 160mm, 190mm and 220mm with height x widths of either, 82mm x 27mm, 102mm x 37mm or 122mm x 47mm.
Available in two colours: black or light grey, the aluminium enclosure features recesses on both sides, providing a practical space for components to be situated such as; LCD displays, overlays and keypads. The end panels also feature a recess, again ideal for component and wire entry, labels and overlays. To finish off the housing and provide an aesthetic finish, screw covers come as standard with the 55 series.
