0.8μA Low Current Consumption Regulator IC 105°C Compatible XC6506 series

Torex Semiconductor Ltd. (Tokyo Japan: President, Koji Shibamiya, 6616: Prime Market at Tokyo Stock Exchange) has launched a new low-current regulator IC with an operating temperature range of 105°C — XC6506 series.

XC6506 series has a low current consumption of 0.8 μA, and the standby current due to the ON / OFF function at the CE terminal is 0.01 μA. It greatly contributes to the longevity of batteries, which is an essential requirement for all battery-equipped small devices.

Output current is 150mA, input voltage is up to 6V, and output voltage is 1.2 to 5.0V (internal fixation), which can be set in a wide range. Because it supports an operating temperature of + 105°C, it is widely used in industrial applications where suitable ICs have been limited due to the high temperature environment that required low consumption in the past.

The package uses ultra-compact and low-profile USPN-4 (0.9 x 1.2 x h0.4 mm) (Fig. 1), which contributes to the miniaturization of the entire device. Low current consumption and high temperature resistance are suitable for all battery-equipped devices and backup circuits, including IoT/mobile/wearable, industrial applications which compactness, area savings and battery life are emphasized.

Torex will continue to swiftly develop products that meet market needs and contribute to a richer and more abundant society.
