TRAP & RADIOTRAP: The Industrial Remote Control Systems for Electrical Engineers

For years, Electrical Engineers have used the TRAP remote control systems as a reliable industrial wireless switching solution.

With 1, 4 and 8 channel systems available, as well as 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8 button transmitters. TRAP via FM could originally achieve a maximum range of 2KM line of sight.

From 2023, RF Solutions have significantly enhanced the TRAP series to include LoRa (Long Range) spread spectrum technology. This new upgrade allows the end user to now achieve a wireless switching range of up to 10KM line of sight.

Installers can also supply TRAP from a 6 – 32V permanent power supply and has now been upgraded so the range is compatible with the new RIoT Series (part of the IOT series).

TRAP series includes the classic RF Solutions ‘Acknowledgement’ feature: when enabled, this alerts the end user via the handheld transmitter when it has successfully or unsuccessfully operated its paired relay outputs; perfect for switching outputs over a long distance and applications you cannot see.

With a robust IP68 receiver and IP65 transmitter, this rugged series has been designed to meet heavy usage needs within the industrial industry.

TRAP operates exclusively on the 868MHz band, ideal for operation in the United Kingdom and other European countries.

A 433MHz ‘RADIOTRAP’ version for European and North American markets is now also available with an increased range of 5Km line of sight. This series of remote controls systems are also suited for the clay pigeon trap industry, and are compatible with Laporte and Promatic clay traps.
