Toshiba release ARM® Cortex®-M4 microcontrollers


Mass production of 12 new motor control microcontrollers (MCUs) in their M4K group of devices which will be the very first products in the new advanced TXZ+™ family, announced by Toshiba Electronics Europe. The mass production will start in July 2021, of a further 10 motor control MCUs in their M4M group. All of the new devices will be manufactured in a 40nm process, and form part of Toshiba’s TXZ4A+ series.

All the MCUs have a DMA controller (DMAC) along with onboard flash memory for code (128kB/256kB) and 32kB for data. A total of six 32-bit timers are included, which can be operated as 12 16-bit timers if desired.
