See the Industry’s Next-Generation Mounter in Juki’s Secret Room at APEX

Juki Automation Systems (JAS), Inc., a world-leading provider of automated assembly products and systems and subsidiary of Juki Corporation, is pleased to announce plans to exhibit in Booth #2730 at the 2022 IPC APEX EXPO, scheduled to take place Jan. 25-27, 2022 at the San Diego Convention Center in California. The Juki team will be demonstrating the industry’s next-generation mounter in a secret room, as well as showcasing the proven RS-1R Placement Machine, RV-2-3DHL, JM-50, iCube, G-Titan Automated Screen Printer, Autonomous Material Handling System and the new P20 rotary head.

The new JM-50 utilizes Juki’s advanced TAKUMI placement head. This head automatically adjusts its height to provide the optimal speed and component handling at the same time. It can pick with up to four nozzles at the same time.

The JM-50 is supported by Juki’s JaNets line control software, along with all other current pick-and-place models. This makes it easy to program the entire line from one software package.

The RS-1R also features the TAKUMI head. The dynamic height, 8 nozzle placement head automatically adjusts pick-and-placement height on-the-fly to optimize speed while offering a high degree of flexibility. Available RFID nozzles track the performance and maintenance of each individual nozzle by serial number. With the new PG-01 offline teach camera and line optimization JaNets/NPI Plus software, the RS-1R provides easy data entry for faster programming.

The new RV-2-3DHL visual inspection machine (3D AOI/SPI) is now faster and easier to use. This high-speed and high-precision board inspection machine can be used for a wide variety of industries such as SMT, automotive, aerospace, medical, defense, consumer electronics, industrial, and others.

It features a 12 MPixel CMOS camera that allows achieving the highest throughput at 61.8cm²/secs inspection speed. Also, offers full flexibility to make customized algorithms and mechanical measurements, and the multi-function capability of 3D SPI and 3D AOI in one single machine.

The G-Titan screen printer is equipped with industry-leading standard features usually adding thousands to comparable printers.  These features empower customers with the highest quality printing solution, a path to Industry 4.0, and “Lights-Out-Manufacturing” with its award-winning specifications. The printer features a new interface with a modern look and many standard features, including touchscreen LCD, stencil inspection, solder paste rolling diameter measurement, stencil lock, and automatic solder paste dispense (500g jar).

Juki’s new Autonomous Material Handling System, building on their highly popular Intelligent Storage Systems, consists of the ISM3600 Ultra Flex Intelligent Storage System, the ISM3900 Ultra Flex expansion module, the Multi Interface Module, the External Elevator Module and an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) designed to work as one unit. The complete package provides the unique ability to automatically store, retrieve, deliver and return components throughout the factory. An industry first integrated automatic x-ray component counter is also available.  Components can be taken by the AMR from the main warehouse to the storage tower and any other location where they are needed.

Juki’s new P20 high-precision Planet head is ideal for the placement of ultra-small chips and small ICs, as well as high-density and high-accuracy placement for LED edge lights. The rotary head features 20 nozzles and a state-of-the-art centering and inspection vision system that that uses coaxial lighting technology for clearer, better images and more accurate inspection data.

Additionally, Juki will showcase its iCube inline selective soldering machine, Incoming Material Station (IMS) designed to automate the incoming materials process and P-Primo Large Board Screen Printe
