Makeblock Neuron is an award-winning creative STEM platform based around intelligent building blocks. It can be programmed by Key Stage 2 and 3 students without any coding experience. Projects can be made simply by snapping the modules together and programming them using Makeblock’s flow-based software (mBlock on desktop, the Neuron app on mobile devices). Makeblock Neuron has the added advantage of being able to be integrated with LEGO®.
There are two Makeblock Neuron kits. The Inventor kit has an essential range of components such as sound and light sensors, LED panels, Power buttons and buzzers, but can still be used to make simple interactive projects. The Creative Lab Kit features over 40 different sensors and output modules and can be combined to create projects like smart watering and doorbell systems. There are plenty of support guides and video tutorials available, while the platform offers students significant potential to develop their programming ability and understanding of electronics and the Internet of Things (IoT).
