The Raspberry Pi 4 DIN Rail enclosure was designed by CamdenBoss to provide customers with a solution for mounting their Pi 4 boards into a Din Rail solution, making them suitable for industrial IoT and automation applications.
Centralised electronic systems make use of DIN Rail assemblies to carry out a variety of tasks such as power management, drives and control, monitoring and networking. The latest Raspberry Pi development enables these types of applications to become more accessible. The ability to mount the Pi 4 PCB to a DIN Rail with the help of the CamdenBoss enclosure allows these tasks to be carried out more efficiently.
CamdenBoss took a standard off the shelf plastic CNMB housing and customised it to fit the Pi 4 PCB without the need for additional screws or PCB pillars. All of the necessary cut-outs and wire entry points are already done as part of the standard supply meaning no extra work is required. Simply insert your board, plug and play. The fixing slots were cut out in such a way that the board is mounted upside down. This allows further boards to be connected to the Pi 4 such as the POE extension.
Two primary kit types are available to order, either a solid lid version or a clear lid version. Each kit comes with a set of perforated terminal guards, which can either be left in place or knocked through to allow wires or connections to be made. Alternatively, the terminal guards can also be left off to allow increased airflow and address overheating concerns.
