The IAA exhibition in Munich embraced a new concept and sent out a clear message. The future of mobility is electric – and this applies first and foremost to road vehicles.
Therefore, this year’s show focused exclusively on battery-electric vehicles. Traditional combustion engines and even hybrid vehicles have clearly moved into the background. From connecting electrical components to charging vehicle batteries, smart contact systems are needed everywhere – precisely the kind of expertise that ODU Automotive offers.
A prototype of the ODU DOCKING MATE® was also on show at the fair. It is installed in a modern 800V SiC inverter produced by a leading international manufacturer with its roots in Germany. Naturally, high-tech inverters of this kind require a technologically advanced contact system.
In this case, the ODU DOCKING MATE® enables blind mating of the inverter with the electric motor, whereby our solution is integrated into the system and compensates for the existing manufacturing tolerances. This results in a perfect solution for the customer – with huge potential for additional applications.
