Spring is around the corner and many in the US are itching for warmer weather. Nick Engmann isn’t waiting on nature, he’s taking his gardening indoors with an impressive mesh-connected network of houseplants.
Nick’s indoor garden starts with an Argon gateway. The Argon connects to his home Wi-Fi router as well as creates a local mesh network for other Particle Gen 3 devices to join. That’s useful since each plant in Nick’s garden network includes a Xenon with a moisture and humidity sensor packed inside a fancy, custom 3D enclosure shown above.
Whether you’re building a connected garden or the Internet of Beer (more on this below), make sure you share what you’re building in the forum or tweet at @Particle with your latest creation. I can’t wait to see what you’re making!
