PROVERTHA is consistently expanding its range of M8/M12 circular connector solutions, especially for demanding environments. For example, M8 crimp CF connectors with 360 degree shielding with D code in protection class IP67 are now available. The compact 4-pin M8 connectors are specified by the PNO (PROFIBUS User Organisation) according to the Profinet guidelines and enable robust and space-saving solutions for Profinet and Ethernet networks. The optimized design specifically meets the requirements for a functionally reliable Ethernet connection and interference-free data transmission in applications with high levels of vibration and torsion, such as in railway and transport technology, as well as in factory automation for automatic punching machines and robot applications.
The compact all-metal enclosure allows use in confined installation spaces and protects against interference in harsh environments. The twisted crimp contacts ensure high network security, while the plastics used for railway applications are EN 45 545-2 certified. Further technical features are a rated current of 4 A, a rated voltage of 60 VDC, an insulation resistance of ± 100 MΩ, a conductor cross-section of AWG 26 -22 and a cable diameter of 4.5 mm – 6.9 mm. The connectors can be used in the temperature range from -20 °C to +85 °C.
