The new HFC100-W completes the family of railway DC/DC-Converter with ultra-wide input voltage. The brand new converter with 100 Watt output has an input range between 14,4 and 154VDC and sets new standards in its class. Advantages are the compact design (140x100x27mm) and the compliance to the requirements of the EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2.
The Autronic plug-and-play solution shows an efficiency of 92%, all European input voltages are covered with only one converter. This makes the design in easy, beside the natural convection only three little pads on the bottom are needed for heat dissipation, an additional heat sink is unnecessary. The EMC criteria for railway according to EN 50121-3-2, as well as radiated emissions, surge, burst and ESD compliance with EN 50155 is provided without additional components
Further features are the active inrush current limitation (10A), the active polarity protection and the protection against overvoltage, overtemperature and overcurrent. The 10 ms hold-up time is integrated as well as an adjustment of the output voltage of ±10% or the operation up to three converters in parallel.
This galvanic isolated HFC100-W can be operated with 100W to temperature class TX without any derating up to 70°C and 10 minutes up to 85°C. Material of the PCB is proofed according EN 45545-2.
Beside the open frame version with 12V or 24V output voltage two further versions are available on request, with IP20-casing or for the DIN-Rail mounting. Other outputs on request.
