SL Power Electronics has introduced a 120W AC to DC power supply designed for medical applications.
Sized around 50 x 100 x 32mm, it us suited to 1U rack applications and provides 100W of convection power.
Called MB120 Class II Input Models, the units come in 12, 15, 18 or 24Vdc output versions, and up to 120 Watts of power.
Input, output and internal temperature are monitored, and alarmed, and all models are CE marked to low voltage directive and approved to AAMI ES/CSA C22.2 No./EN/IEC60601-1, 3rd edition.
“The design takes into consideration the pending international release of the new IEC 60601-1-2, 4th Edition EMC requirements*,” said component distributor Arrow, which is stocking the part.
The power supplies are BF rated for low leakage current. They also meet the latest IEC60601-1-2, 4th Edition EMC requirement.
Hiccup mode and auto-recovery are included, and also in there is protection from output over-load, output short-circuit protection output over-voltage protection, over temperature and output reverse voltage.
According to SL, MB120 has been used in medical lighting, factory automation, hematology equipment and patient monitoring.
Standby power is <500mW, and the warranty is three years.
Arrow is also stocking a couple of other new SL PSUs:
- TE150 is a 174 x 72 x 38mm 150W fully-enclosed in-cable supply with an IEC power input with outputs from 12V to 48V.
- LE500 is a larger (249 x 102 x 49mm) fully-enclosed in-cable supply that can deliver 500W at either 24V or 48V.
